How do you find the vertices and edges of a polyhedron?

A vertex is a corner (point) and an edge connects two verticies (segment).

For example a cube has 8 verticies. Picture one and you see it has 4 at the top and 4 at the bottom. It has 12 edges: 4 around the top, 4 around the bottom, and 4 connecting the top and bottom.
